Default Cleaning barrels and powervavles

hi folks, im currently doing a top end rebuild on my EC250, looking for tips and tricks on how to get the barrel and powervalve parts all cleaned up nice. i have heard of using a dishwasher on cases, but not on barrels. ( idont have a dishwasher but was thinking a bucket of water with dishwashing powder).
oven cleaner?
what have you found to have worked well?

The dishwasher did sweet FA to the dirt stains on my cases. It sometimes struggles to clean baked on food to dishes. I doubt it would do anything to carbon and spooge.

I found gasket stripped, oven cleaner, and carb cleaner all work really well. I can of carb cleaner will really just wash away any spooge. For harder carbon the other two work. A good abrasive pad (steel wool) and some elbow grease brings it up nice, especially after the chems have softened up the deposits.
