Handguards

I need some handguards. I'll probably buy Cycra, but I am open to suggestions.

Most importantly, I need to know what taper the stock 07 GG bars are (protaper, renthal, or magura)? This is asked when ordering the Cycras.

I posted this question to an older thread in the frame / chassis forum, but have had no replies. I NEED handguards NOW. I will be mounting my Hyde Skid Plate, Handguards, and riding my new 300 on 3/8 so I need to get these on order NOW. I've only riden my new bike on the street in my subdivision a couple times and I'm about to DIE. I would like to save my fingers during my first crash.

I'm not sure if you get these over there but BarkBusters do ones for Gas Gas .I brought a set for my 06 450, I can tell you from having a couple of decent stacks the Bark Busters have saved all the controls and apart from the plastis on the gaurds being scratched no other damage.

I have the Fastway guards. They mount to a special mount that replaces the top handlebar mounts. It frees up space on the bars, and allows a little more verticle flex in them. I like them a lot.

After calling Cycra, I ordered them with the Pro-Taper style mounts. According to Cycra, these mounts fit most brands, and they have the smallest diameter. So if they don't fit I can us a die-grinder to make the bore larger.
