Fred Hoess won his class (40-49A) on the pre-production 2010 GasGas 450f that he rode for the first time just before the race.

I saw that also on Off Road Champions and was wondering and hoping the same thing.

He is no spring chicken but can still REALLY bring it and is a good ambassador for our sport. It would be nice to have him back on a Gasser.

Freddie indeed road the 2010 FSR450 to an impressive finish during Sunday's main event OMA race.

Special thanks to Rich Smith from Smith's Powersports for helping Fred set up the bike as we only had about an hour to make it "race" ready.

With the stock fuel tank Fred made two fuel stops. Only problem we had was the clutch perch loosened up and had to be retightened.

In the extremely dusty conditions the EFI adjusted itself perfectly as the motor continued to produce very usable power where most of the other bikes (carburated) had to make a filter change during Sunday's race.

Awesome rider.
"Ambassador for our sport" ? I've heard a few complaints about unsportsmanlike acts by Mr. Hoess.

During the race He is in "race mode" and not that friendly.. before or after He seems ok.. just not during.. Seen him around at the ECEA events in the past back in the FBF husky days..
