I've got them super fancy gold forks on my bike and when they started drooling a few years back, I didn't bother to futz with them. I just slid them off, packed them in an old quilt in a lightbulb box and sent them to LTR. Best money I've spent on the bike. No parts worries either.

Well, looks like its not just Gasgas, or even the industry. I was looking around for a bracket on the breakdown of my Dewalt table saw last night and just happened to notice that they want $88 for a capacitor for the motor that I know sells for about $8 at an electrical supply house

I called Les, he helped me line everything out. He

Dewalt tool part prices are insane. We have stopped buying any Dewalt, Porter Cable and Delta tools for work for that reason. Their just disposable tools now. In most cases, Makita makes a superior tool any ways. We use a good number of Bosch tools as well.

I have a whole garage full of Dewalt stuff, but it's Bosch for me from now on. They still make a few things in the USA, too. I was just talking to my wife today (who just happens to be the store manager at the Lowes here) about how Makita seemed to drop off the radar the last few years, but maybe its just a local thing. I used to love Milwaukee before it moved to China, but it isn't what it used to be either, and they really got on my bad side when they switched over to lithium ion and didn't make it compatible with my Ni-cad. At least Dewalt did that.

i used to use a dewalt random orbital daily. a part broke, and i called them up. they said it's a wear part and only has a 40 hour service life. went out and bought another brand.
