Local trails were a mess with leaves covering the rocks before the snow and down trees. Good thing is it should melt fast, a few days in the 60s should do it.

I've been up to Treblant, -30F kept us in the bar the first day too. Great mountain though.

I feel bad for you guys in the snow country(o.k. not that bad). Just did a hare scramble today and it was nearly 90 out, sweating like a pig still in AZ. I cant imagine riding in the snow....to much!

I got off easy here on the shoreline. Only an inch or so on the grassy surfaces. The lights flickered quickly. Other parts of Connecticut got hit pretty hard with 18 or 20 inches in places. Something like 750,000 people still without power in the state, and overnight lows in the mid 20's F... there are going to be a lot of frozen pipes.

Riding in light snow is fun. I'll never forget Dave Gunn winning the MMC Turkey Run, in two or three inches of snow, on a CR500 with studded tires. He passed me three times in a five lap race. LOL. Yes, I was slow, but you should'a seen the way this guy was floating through the woods. It was beautiful.

Same here on the RI coast. All the snow has melted.

I got passed by Dave Gunn at the King Philip TR last year. He was by me before I could get out of his way in a technical section.

They say no power until Friday. Thats going to make it tough to prep for the Hammer Run on Sat. I may have to bail on Sat and come down Sat night or Sun AM. Can't leave the family alone without utility power.

We had an ice storm a few years back and had no power for over 3 weeks. I was out hunting wild hogs for the first week so I didn't miss it.

That really sucks!! hopefully you'll get power soon! I had to go to NC on a business trip at the end of the ice storm of 05.. got power back the day before I left.. of course it went off and on many times the days I was gone.. but it was nice in NC..

20 inches at my house October , are you f-ing kiding. I went out Saturday night just before we lost power to get gen gas and Had to chain saw my way to town.
I got caught with my pants down. New house to me , That was not ready for this. I did not have a great way to cook any way My gas stove just quit last week,, Bought an electric wall oven and induction cooktop , Was going to spend the weekend installing it.(I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel)

I am lucky to have multiple generators, The one I hooked to my well pump/furnace went through a period of protest, apperentlly barely running.(my wife witnessed it but did not shut it off.) This is the one gen that does not switch of the output untill the under voltage is addressed and the gen reset. No thermall protection on the pump. The pump did not like the 60 volts or so,, Installing a new well pump late sunday night. I took the day off yesterday to get everything needed in the house runnig correcttly on Gen.

Ironiclly i am in the power buissness, and I cant get my own sh.. together.

ED
