10 year old piston / cylinder / head - pics!
i switched heads today on my 2000 xc200 (wanted one with 0 degree plug hole and trying to get better squish (which i did went from 1.75 mm to 1.5mm))... cylinder/piston/head combo has 10+ years on them. new rings last year. 25 races in 2010 alone.. plus countless hours of trail riding/practice. 50:1 amsoil dominator. it's starting to show a little wear, but not bad. i'm thinking another year till re-nikasil/new piston/etc... or am i just pushing it too far?
carbon pattern is not bad, could be better. got a little dust in there on disassembly..

I always worry that I'll hit the fatigue limit of the piston and it will drop its skirt if I try that. They never come out of my bike worn out at approx 100 hrs.
