New piston?
What signs or how many hours should I replace piston / rings
Prob a dumbass question but need to know 2010 EC300 - gentle - ish use approx 90 - 100 hrs Biff |

I have seen bikes run for 500 hours no shit. But to be safe 100-120 is about the most i would feel comfortable with. The stress they are put under is so great compared to 4 stroke pistons.
Best bet if you have to ask do it and save your self alot of money before it grenades and flies threw the case. |

I don't think there is a set number of hours. I think it would vary greatly depending on your style of riding. I bought my 2003 EC200 DE used so who knows how long it's been together. I pulled the pipe and took a look at the piston and rings through the exhaust port. Mine looked like brand new so it's staying together for a while. I will look again next time I repack the silencer.
