Default Axp skidplate

After seeing it on the 2011 I really wanted one. Finally got one and I should have saved my money. This bent out just from my boot catching it. I could just cut it off, but that defeats the purpose.

That is too bad. I have bashed and bashed my AXP with many large rocks and skidded over large rocks and have great experience with it. But also doesn't mean it is indestructible I guess.

They are pretty crappy skids. I ground through the "welds" on mine to the point it was seperating, my buds didnt last 3-4 rides on his 13 before the "welds" split open.

bummer, mine has been taking a beating for about a year and a half. It's held up great.

Mine didn't last long either, maybe 5 or 6 rides. But I can break an anvil with a rubber mallet.

I have the AXP also, so far so good . Was a good bargain but the one I really wanted was from CrossPro, 6mm, no welds

That looks very similar to the TM designs one, but nobody has confirmed figment on the pre-2012 bikes
