Seems KTM can’t guarantee a victory so they are taking their ball and going home. Thats part of the way I read it.

Fabio Farioli is obviously ready to run KTM Factory Team on and on and on. It's almost like a family tradition for them

So there is no shortage of the managerial skill. Lack of focus at KTM - maybe. MotoGP is able to burn money at astonishing speed and it is almost like Formula 1 where budgets are measured in cubic dollars (or euros).
