I've been off the Gasgas since Easter, other responsibilities have taken priority. Among them, a two week trip with a Norwegian team to the first two WESS rounds as a truck driver and mechanic.
However, yesterday was our first club race for this year, so I just had to find time to do it. Was afraid that lack of training would stop me early in the race, but luckily I managed to keep my (slowish) pace through the one hour race. We were 13 participants in the adults race, I ended up in tenth place which is about where I usually end up. Yesterday's winner was Anders Becker Johansen, the same guy that I drove the truck and did spannerwork for in Lagares Extreme and Trefle Lozerien (WESS 1 and 2). So our club has a wide rance of skill levels. The winner did 17 laps, I did 9 in the same time...

The winner.

Yours truly. Quite a difference in style. And age.

Nice one Anders!

Sure beats sitting in front of the TV watching football or even watching other people racing!

All the best, Dave.

Yeah, it sure beats football (which I never watch). Racing myself is clearly one notch above watching others race on TV. But working in the paddocs of a top level race like the Wess races is also great fun. But in another way than racing myself.

Brought mine home from the dealer today, hopefully many pleasurable riding hours ahead

On another note...the brake pedal pad on these suckers is tiny, is there an aftermarket one that's bigger?

Great photos, Anders. Thanks for posting and congrats on finishing the race.
Looks like a gnarly course.

It's been a couple months or three since I've had my 200 out. Your post made me feel like I need to do something about that.
