Default Shane Watts Riding School

Just completed Shane Watts 2 day in-depth riding school in Knoxville, TN. Had a fantastic time. Very challenging even for the most experienced. Very professional, challenging and great fun. Highly recommended.

One gasgas, 20 ktm, 2 honda, 1 yamaha. They were all checking out the gasgas.

Yeah, got a lot of good trail technique out of the 2nd one, the first was just surviving the flood, i think 18" the friday night before it started, mud city... well mud and cow poo, which I seemed to be able to land in everytime I fell. I do like his advice, "If you have to choose between hitting two trees, pick the smaller one!"

Rained on and off sat night and all day sunday. He loved it cause it caused us to learn under the "best" conditions (slop). I agree. I did most of sunday with flat front tire. Grinding and tree drills with a flat. That'll teach you fast.

Yea. I bought from Dave. Would be hard pressed to find someone with more knowledge. If you haven't ridden one - you gotta. Never had a bike that pulls and handles like this thing. Are you in knox? I'm in lenoir city. We ride every weekend.

I'm in Maryville, haven't ridden much lately. Did the Watts thing to get back to basics. I didnt go on Sunday though, just wasnt having fun on the old iron I'm running (01 400 exc).

I've been spending more time on my trials bike and looking for a two stroke enduro to get lighter in the woods. I was looking for a KTM 200, but Dave has sold me on the GG 300 motor as being more linear overall and a tad softer off the bottom than the orange bikes. No need tho sell me on the chassy, I know its good...always believed a trials company should build the best handling and best balanced bikes.

I think I'm buying a 13 300 Dave has on the floor in a couple of weeks. Still trying to justify writing that check.

Definitely looking for folks to ride with. I'll be at TTC this weekend for their spring training days.

I've had three 200s in a row. Still have 200exc. Loads of fun. Has grunt. Will scream like a 125 and is so light. I just found at 52 I'm much faster (smoother) and have much less trouble with certain hills, ruts and roots with the 300. I have it jetted so it is electric smooth through mid and screams on top. Seems slow but is actually hooking up and you are making better time. Good luck on your decision. Justification for writing check? It's just money. You only live once. It's the right thing to do!
