After I saw you on Saturday I hit the brake lever on one of the many rocks in the third last competitive and it is flopping around also. I retightened it after the section and it seems ok but I think I will be doing whatever you do. I'll be watching. Other than that the RT was the best Sapmac I have done. Good to catch up again mate. Geraldh,
I had the same problem and ended up cutting the correct size drill bit to the corect length. Ensure the drill bit is tight in the holes. I then drilled two holes, one at each end of the rod( cut drill). Push through and put split pins in each hole. This fixed the loose pin problem for me, hope it helps. Cheers Mark |

The bushing in the pedal can be replaced. Press out the old, and press in a new bushing. Pretty simple. It also help to keep this area clean. I remove my pedal several times a year and clean relube.

True, use the new insert on one side and a big socket on the other, and press the new one in with a vise.
A better contruction would although be better. I've changed the axle, insert and bushing 3 times in 2 years. I also try to keep everything clean and well greased. Waterproof grease seems like the ticket for best longevity.
