Guys,
What are the standard settings for the suspension? I did not get a manual for mine yet. Is there one online somewhere? I'm looking for clickers settings, torque values etc..............

I see that the 2012's are still using the 2K3 ignitions... I thought that the US bikes all got the 2K2s after 2010. Anybody know what's up with that?

Not sure where you heard that. None of the 2011s or 2012s have the 2K2. Everything we have discussed on this site has been about the 2K3 (unless I fat fingered the wrong key).

Noting you said the rear rebound could have stood to be slowed down a bit, I also wonder how you felt about the as-delivered Low-Speed Comp setting and the lack of an HS adjustment. . . . You warned us. Now I'm hooked. Money. Gotta find money...... |

Historian? I'm honored.
Here goes: In the beginning, the bikes with the CB and Ducati stator had 2K-2s by necessity. After that all the Euro or world spec bikes had 2k-3s, my take is because they needed the output for the lighting. When Don Knight and GGNA imported the bikes in the '99 to '02 timeframe, he specified a bike for the American rider with stiffer WP43s, 2K-2 ignition, shorter pull rods, Gold series Ohlins shock, minimal harness and lighting, and more aggressive CDI. He called these "XC"s and they were a hit. The MC250 MX bike also had a 2K-2 or a 2K-1(no lighting coil). In '03, GasGas took over as their own importer, and sold what was basically the Euro spec bike. Not such a big hit. The dealers requested changes including the 2K-2 and got them, this was the "Dealer Edition" bike. This continued through '09 with most bikes getting 2K-2 but some 2K-3s. I've had one each of these bikes, and prefer the 2K-2 with a weight myself (on a 250). I think without a weight, its a bit too light for all but sand courses, but 10 - 12 ozs makes it perfect. Mine never stalls. I have a 2K-2 on the shelf to put in my '12 with a G2 throttle. This is just a personal thing, no bad or good choice for all. |

The first container was shipped without owners manuals (which are on a cd) and the larger plastic skid plate. I have been unable to find out when we will get these two items. If any of you have any questions about set up.....call me! 615 347 6519
