Default '08 Ec300

I just picked up this for a customer and put it together today. There are a few noticeable changes. The front fender, head light, speedo, light switch are all new . The pipe looks different, lower pipe mount is new, graphics. And if you can believe this the sidestand stays down!

This is the new speedo. It must have a battery in it as the display is showing and it is not running.

I also am assembling a new '07 EC300 for another customer so I have each to compare. The new '08 comes more assembled than the '07.

How long did it take to build the 08? Did you have to remove a bunch of Euro emission crap?

I am waiting for the US spec bikes to arrive. I dont need or want all the street stuff as we cant street plate them in Ontario anyhow.

Claude,

Is the seat much different? Looks more round in profile. Worth swapping from the '07 ?

The seat doesn't look that much different. And yes the emission crap is on but I didn't get the homologation pipe. The turn signals, horn and stuff are already on. I would like to see an EC with just a headlight, taillight but with the same EC ignition. Then they could use the money they save by not putting on the street legal stuff and buy a spark arrestor instead.

That new speedo unit sure looks like the TrailTech Vapor (but just wrapped in red). http://trailtech.net/vapor.html

That speedo is made by TrailTech and must be a Vapor because it looks like it has a tach too. The battery is a std 2032.
