Default Rekluse for my Gasser

Can anyone out there tell me if a Rekluse Pro will fit in my 02 XC 300? How much can I pick one up for? Are they easy to install? Are they easy to operate? Some feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sadly, no, Rekluse doesn't make a Pro model for our Gassers. That's a shame, because the Pro works really well (my son has one is his KTM 250XC).
That being said, the "regular" Z-Start is a very nice addition. You don't have the normal clutch feel during manual clutching that you get with the Pro, but it still works, and with a little time you develop a feel for it (there is practically no resistance to pulling the lever, and it becomes more of a "position control" than a "pressure control"). I love my Rekluse. Get one, get some extra Tungsten balls, give yourself a couple of days to mess with the setup (you can tune the hookup to almost anything you want) and then ride the hell out of it. I firmly believe that the main thing wrong when people "try a Rekluse but don't like it" is lack of setup time. Mine hooks up right off of idle, and under normal riding conditions you wouldn't even know it's there. Get into really nasty techical terrain and it lets you concentrate on riding, not on keeping it from stalling. It lets you get away with screwups with minimal negative effects. The only drawback in my book is the loss of bump start ability. Sometimes I miss that.

I was told the demand for GasGas Pro model's did not justify them to make a
separate broach only to be used for the Gas Gas. If it had the same spline
as something they already produce they would have made a Pro for the GasGas.

I spoke with the Rekluse guys at November's Maxxis EnduroCross in Las Vegas. He said that he had Gas Gas components "on the work bench" but it wasn't a priority.

Any firm updates one way or the other?

Rick
I think I'll give them an e-mail query.

More Rekluse/GG rumors. Supposedly Rekluse is planning on not doing the Pro for the GG and, instead, skip straight to the new EXP model...

I might buy one of those but I bet they are/will be pricey.

I can't find the price list now. I think it was a couple hundred more than the Pro.

EXP is $800. Not cheap, but it's going to take over the market, I think. When they build one for the gasser I'll definitely buy one. As it is I'm taking out my Z-start and going back to a manual clutch.
