Default Sad to find no more ohlins

I recieved my ec300 unfortuneatley i couldnt get the ohlins rear shock, I was told by the dealer that Gas gas can not suppply anymore as yamaha own ohlins and yamaha is putting the screws on motorcycle companies that are hurting sales. So i ended up with a Sachs shock, I have found it very stiff, Has anyone got settings i could try to start tuning the suspension.

Not true. They either dont know any better or wanted to sell you what they had. The 07's i have are Ohlins rear, marzocchi front.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that for $300 extra you could add the Ohlins rear shock. Just like the Ohlins $600 front fork option. Anyone else see this article or was I just dreaming!

Husky's run sachs rear shocks. Hit a Husky forum, bet they can get you dialed.

The Sachs is a good shock, if its too stiff its the valving like in any other shock and fork. Incorrect factory valving can make the Ohlins feel like crap too.

I do remember an article that I read not that long ago. If I come across it I will post it. Not sure if it was on the computer or one of the various magazines I read. Even though it was in a magazine or on the web still don't make it true. But If so at least it still would be an option.
Anyhow I was making reference to the 2007 Enduros having the $300 option for the ohlins rear shock replacing the Sachs rear shock.

By the way the trials line is supposed to be replacing the Sachs shock with the ohlins for 2007 I read this in trials competition Dec. 2006 issue.

Pre '07 Ohlins was the only shock, just the forks were optional. I don't know if you can actually special order a bike with an Ohlins shock, might depend on what comes in from Spain. Either is OK. The Sachs works great on Huskys, but I wouldn't wait for a Sachs equipped bike if an Ohlins bike was available. You could go Sachs, put that $300 saved toward a custom revalve on both ends and be way ahead of the game.

I got a 07 250 last week and paid 300 dollars for the rear ohlins. Just finished the break in process and today started to run at race speed. I came off a KDX. I can tell the GG is a very serious machine.
