Looks like an electronic/servo driven power valve could be in play judging by the cables.

Here's more information on the Jotagas. it looks like Mika Ahola is going to ride one of these in 2012-2013.

The power valve is electronic, and the electric starter is located at the bottom of the engine (below the transmission). This thing looks pretty trick.
