Can a 250 be a 200?

Question, Can a ec200 cylinder and head be installed on a 04 ec250? I would like to set up my 250 for my son and thought a 200 would suit him better. I was hoping that the 250 crank and ignition would not have to be changed. Thanks TW

Different crank certainly.
Check out the downloadable parts list to get an idea. They show which parts are common. I thought about this and decided the only sensible way to do it would be to find a 200 that's being broken and buy the whole motor. Unfortunately there aint many Gassers about to find them in Breakers.
