Ive done a search and haven't found exactly what I need. Is there a thread on how to insall some handguards? Do I have to do any mods to the bar ends?

There are two choices that I'm aware of. One is an expanding bar end insert, easy to install with no mods but they can move. The other is a threaded bar end insert, more solid but you'll have to tap your bar ends.

Tapping is well worth the effort, imho.

You can purchase a hand guard set from Twisted Engineering. They have to be used for their flex bars, but they can be used for any bar. Their hand guard ends clamp on the outside end of the handlebars. If you use these, you can then install anti vibration inserts from Fasst which will reduce vibration felt through your hands.

I purchased the cycra pro bend with crm mounts. The bottoms of the mounts hit the top of the fork legs not allowing the mounts to be rotated so that the metal guard will mount flush with or even close to flush with the mount. The fork is right where the bottom of the mount should be, so the cdm mounts are either angled too far forward or back.

I believe a possible answer would be the triple clamp mounts I've seen like the Bonz mounts.

Any suggestions?

Iv never put a set of hand guards on a bike I have not had to "adjust" and the pro bends were the worst. I use a LARGE crescent wrench and bench vice just tweak them around to fit.
