Default KICKSTARTER EC 300 wanted

2008 model, but presume many years & models fit.

I hear that yamaha yz's fit also, so if more exact info exists on other makes-models, that fit, warmly welcome.

Should be in working order, minimal play.

Just finshed bike's pre sale polish, took it to a stroll, a few kicks, and snap.

I just bought a hammerhead for a yz250f and I'll try to get back to you about fitment. Haven't mocked it up yet.

Funny thing, used GG kickers tend to be more expensive as new OEM.
Ktm a bit hard to get but good to know.
Yam 250f are 3 different models, steel frame 2005, alu frame 2009, latest gen. alu frame till now.

In the first section on this forum ("General Forums") there is a "Technical Articles".

On the left column click parts crossover.

http://www.gasgasrider.org/html/parts_crossover.html

Tells you what parts cross over. It has the YZ and part number to use.

part number 5NX-15620-00

I just searched ebay for that part number and bought that one.

I think the splines on the shaft are fine upon further inspection, so I tried lightly filing the leading edge of the splines on the kickstarter. It slipped on maybe a few mm further, barely started on the actual splines (as there is a recess on the inside of the yz kickers before the splines start). So, I reckon I will have to file the shit out of the the brand new kickstarter's splines to get it to slide on. The old GasGas one looks worn out and slips on with no real effort. PITA

I'm waiting for used first gen. 250f kick to fly in.
It should then look like this.

If new type kick from 2012 and on bikes is applicable to your bike, then you might have worn spline issues, as all this stuff is interchangeable.

On the other hand, my original kick boss had excessive play in the splines, which I eliminated fully with green loctite.

Maybe there is loctite residue on your splines.

You are right 5valve. The spines appear fine, but when you run your finger down them you can feel a slight amount of marring from running the old worn out kicker for so long. I ended up globbing on the anti seize and jamming it on there. I tested the removal with a prybar on the swingarm pivot as a fulcrum and it comes off fine. If anything, it's extra trail safe. I dig the new addition to my bike.
