Default Before you sell the sachs shod bike for the cc zokes

After getting a pretty good setup with the sachs, with revalve of base, mid ( thanks to two wheel's mid valve kit) and rebound, but it was still not ....not..... trustworthy, you would be smashing into stuff all day and then BAM, nasty deflection. I was warming up the minister for finance for a 2012 with cc zokes

THEN, I did some numbers and decided to get some ohlins inserts as if it fixed the bike, I'd save around 3k Aussie on the change over, including the inserts, if it didn't, sell the inserts and drop another few hundred.

The bike is TOTALLY different, this is with the stock ohlins valving, which is towards mx, I'm two thirds out on the clickers rebound and compression ( stock was half way) and it's like a Velcro magic carpet, and the harshness in the sachs rear end has disappeared.

I have ridden in the past six months, and all were sprung for around my weight, rmz 450, rmx 450 both with rg3 suspension (both excellent, one was owned by the over 45 national champ off road in oz), 2011 berg cc wp( cv good), 2010 berg oc (crap) 2011 300exc oc revalved by Chad (vv good) revalved Showa conventional cc ( good for their age), 2011 yz450f with off road revalve and nothing felt like these Ohlins.

Think about it before you sell a 2010 or 2011 sachs with low hours.

I've got a set of TTX cartridges already valved for off road that I will let go right....They are for WP forks so I'm not sure what's involved in putting them in the Sachs forks...

Further to this, the Sachs fork can be made to be a good fork with mainly modding the mid valve and rebound stack, so don't let me put you off the setup, two wheel's very simple and well priced kit and some knowledge gained or given on how to mess about with open chamber forks (heaps of good info on this site) or a good suspension shop and it gets pretty damn close to awesome.

I had been spoilt riding some very tricked up Showa gear my brother in law owns and once you've ridden stuff like that it burns away in the back of your brain, the ttx became the answer for me, lucky the Sachs take em.

In essence, the fork gives you the largest range of choice, which is cool.

have just packed up my sachs cartridges and will be fedexing them off in a few minutes, have become good internet buddies with 2wheels, but it all started off when i came v close to purchasing front and back ttx thinking that i am a pro!

if i am not happy with it after this i will wait for my boat to come in and get the ttx ... or if it is a big boat i will deal with a factory!! haha

I have the 45 zokes and have sent them off twice to Les, he has done wonders but I still am not 100% happy with them, maybe my riding style. At some point I will have to make a decision in swaping forks and tree for something that I can put 48' in and maybe get some 48 trees and showa tubes with ttx inserts or 2012 KTM 350 xcw (which may be less expensive - LOL)

I'd say you will be happy, he helped me with from 5000 miles away. dont worry bout the ttx, push jarvis off one of those rocks he lives on and nick his berg!

the ttx stickers add 10 percent plushness alone

the box added another 10 percent
