Default clutch basket mod

i tore my basket apart and found 2 rivets missing... so i removed all the rivets, and am hoping to tap the basket and run the bolts in from the backside. or do i tap the thin plate and run flat sockets/ovals in from the inside of the basket (seems awfully thin, don't know if bolts will let go...)? is there clearance issues with the button heads hitting kicker intermediate gear underload? (there's aprrox. 3mm clearance between button heads and intermediate gear static, not sure if there's any 'wobble/deflection under load...'

anyone done this???

works fine for my zip around the yard. ohh and you know that sound that you think is your pv? and it only happens when you lug the motor? well in my case it was the basket rattling around from loose rivets on the clutch cush drive.. noise gone. nice.
