Default Newb Question

Just wondering if anyone has relaced the stock speedo sensor cable with something from Trail Tech? My cable broke and they want ninty dollars for a replacement. I can get a new computer for less than that so I might be inclined to go in this direction. I think you can get one of the screw in cables from Trail Tech for around twenty five dollars. Also looks like I may need a magnet as well, any suggestions?

Should be no problem to do that. You can go to Radio Shack and get pins and plugs, cut the cable to the speedo and connect it to the new one. Mine is actually duct taped together and it works.
