Bike is missing

Hi all.
i have a 2001 EC250
it starts first kick and idles fine, when i try and ride it, it seems like its missing and wont rev to full throttle. It has new reeds, new coil and plug, carb cleaned with new main jet and new air filter. the bike started to splutter and while i was in top gear on a fire rd


sometimes it will die like it ran out of fuel, leave it a minute and it starts again but starts dying at half throttle.

I looked at the stator and it was damp, i have dried it and tested it and it seems ok. any advice would be great before i end up breaking it

Make sure the fuel cap vent is not restricted.

If it has the big long banana muffler on it they can break where the perforated tube joins in the muffler and act like a anti power valve! My old 04 did this to me on the first ride of it. Also check it is not overly rich on the jetting too, and the power valve arm attachment point isn?t broken off.
