Default GPR setup and tank issues??

Is anyone running a GPR with the steering clamp post? I’ve got this setup and a large IMS tank and it works, but I was going to switch back to the stock tank and it’s a problem. Looks like I need to cut out the indention area in the tank in order to clear the post when installing the tank. I’d cut (trim) the tank where the bolt and bushing fits (bolt location at front of tank) to the frame. Has anyone had to do this and is it safe or do I run a risk of cracking the tank and having leaks? Otherwise I could mount the tank, pull the top triple and then install the clamp. I’ll look into just moving the clamp around on the steer tube to install the tank, but I can’t get a good drive angle to torque the bolt due to the triple.

Any input from someone would be a major help.

Thanks

That's the way I'd do it.

You might get away with trimming the tank, but it would be expensive if it turns into a mistake.

Loosen the clamp post and rotate it out of the way.
Tank will now slip into place.
