greasing wheel bearings
Hi all, do i grease the wheel bearings or are they sealed ? I have looked at the tech article but do you need to take out to grease?

I pop the seals with a small pick, and pack the bearings with waterproof grease. Then press the seals back again.

Thanks, i wasnt sure if you could get enough grease in from the outside ,but will give it a go . Do you clean them out with anything before you repack them?

Are you repacking bearings already in place? I would give it a good clean with brake cleaner before attempting to pop the seal, then just squeeze in some more grease. Don't attempt to clean it out.

thanks for the advice, i ended up taking bearings out as the brake side had seen better days so i repacked the other two and replaced that one . Now onto greasing swingarm and linkage

You do not want to put back bearings that have been forced or driven out with force on the inner bearing race. The bearing races are likely damaged. If you have taken them out, replace them.
