Hi.

The dealer in Brazil made this video:

https://m.facebook.com/1980110065451...29&v=e&sfns=mo

Use ATF oil!

He tried first with 50ml and not satisfy results.

After he was adding 10ml, more 10ml until 150ml max.

The best results obtain with 120ml.

He talks about closing a breather on the magnet cover.

Do they all agree?

I wish somebody would make a video like that in English. Looks like a good video. The KTM wet mod originally called for 120 ml but then after many people did it they found that only 60-75 ml was needed. Is our setup different to where it is reccomended to go back to 120 ml again? Some are doing 60 ml with no Vent and having success. I was going to try this. Can someone put a picture or link of the vent fitting to use? I am still confused on that part and can?t find what I need at the store. Thanks

I used an M6 push on air fitting with some suitable tube into the airbox. Probably should put a sintered filter on it at some point.

The amount of oil is not a massive concern, as long as it is enough to get splashed around by the rotor you will be sweet. I used a 5mm vacuum fitting for mine and ran it up high and back down in a loop. No need for a sintered filter unless you have one lying around. Beta runs no vent in their starters but they only run around 25mls as the starter is at the bottom.

Does the vacuum tube go throught the wiring grommet and do you use some sort of fixing to pass the tube through into the ignition mechanism? Like on the Slavens racing ktm wet mod where he uses a brass fixing?

I want to try this as I'm having issues again with my starter on my 19 Ec250. I had things working okay but a big drop doing hard enduro cracked the antigrativity batter I had attached near the air filter and blew the motor. No looking to go back to one battery

What is an antigrativity batter?

antigravity battery is what he meant - it's a brand of Lithium battery.

I was thinking I could have some fun with that but I've come up with nothing decent.

Do you think it is possible to do wet mod on EC250 2012 electric starter ? the one whith the vertical starter motor.
I have reliability problem with mine, bendix wear too fast and don't grip every time on the gear.

Did the wet mod, after all other needed mods, except unnecessary 24V. Added 70ml of oil, thats less than 1/10qt. Breather fitted on top.

Not sure about the exact needed quantity of oil, but someone should check in rieju '22 manual for volume.

I think that if ring gear bottom teeth are covered in oil, it will satisfyingly transfer it towards the top.

Give a bike few dry kicks when cold, to prelube gears.

Using regular ATF dexron III.

And one note..it is not electric starter wet mod, it is starter bottom transfer gear mechanism wet mod. Even upper transfer parts are not very much affected with it, except maybe if using larger quantity of oil..like before mentioned 120-150ml.
