How to set float level. Revisited.
A while back, I posted a link on how to set your float level.
I finally found it after a long search. Here it is again for those that need to have their's reset.. http://www.dirtridersinternational.c...?TOPIC_ID=2292 |
For some reason the photos won't come up.
Here they are in the order that they appear in the instructions. http://ffracing.net/gallery/albums/F...loatlevel1.jpg (Float assembly pivot pin not shown.) http://ffracing.net/gallery/albums/F...loatlevel2.jpg (Fuel inlet needle shown with Viton (rubber) tip. The Viton is used to isolate the fuel inlet needle from vibration and to create a better seal against the fuel inlet valve seat.) http://ffracing.net/gallery/albums/F...loatlevel3.jpg http://ffracing.net/gallery/albums/F...loatlevel4.jpg |
The first link no longer works.
I have checked and adjusted float level on other carbs, so could someone post some basic instructions with dimensions? Thanks, Josh |

I set the floats on my GG by simply tilting the carb and closing the float gap until it stopped puking fuel at a 20 to 30 degree angle, then took a test ride and checked it at W/O.
May sound stupid bit it works. A friend has a 09 that still drools when on the side stand. |
Do this guideline also work for the newest generation of PWK.
I check my PWK 38 today - the float look totally different - only plastic no metal. The GG 300 2009 Nambo is leaking on the trailer. The float hight was 11mm - now I go to 14mm. I can't test it until now. My shock is in service. |
