jetting help for 05 300 please...

BIKE is 100% stock 05 300 DE runs great in moring temps in the 60's with low humidity..

However in the afternoon temps are reaching 95-97 with high humidity.. 1000-2000 feet.. Bike barely runs, "burbbly" everywhere except wide open..

Do i need a smaller pilot and lean out the clip???

I'd try the needle first. Quick and easy

jetting

my 300 runs good except at top end it breaks up is it to rich on the main jet

You could be too rich on the main. Do a plug chop test. I would check the powervalve operation as well. I had a similar issue only to discover my PV wasn't opening all the way when approaching open throttle. It would start bogging/cutting-out

jets

thanks i will try that tomorow and see what happens

BTW...I would highly recommend doing the RB Designs carb mod. It will save you many hours of jetting frustrations. The 300's seem harder to dial in even with the LTR kit. This mod will encompass jetting, needle, slide mod, etc. One stop shopping.
