I'm running it and am quite pleased. This pipe is VERY quiet. I was actually a little disturbed by how much mechanical engine noise I could hear after replacing the pipe. Riders can't tell when I'm coming up behind them.

I put one on my '05 MC250.

It previously blew 92-94dB with a TurbinecoreII

I had a low of 86dB with the Stealth when it was brand new. It more normally checked at 88 - 90dB. It seems to go through packing faster or maybe it's just more more noticeable when it needs replaced. Whatever, I like it.

I ride a DE300-2006. The bike came with a Power core. I too am looking for a quiter ride. According to the parts book ,a turbine core is my only option. Do both of these silencers rate the same for noise? RPDUC did you have to cut and reweld the back of the Q stealth to get it to fit your 2005? Do you have any tire rub issues? I am using the GG pipe. I also noticed that the orignal fmf packing is a much thicker- denser product than any repack material sold by FMF or any one else. What is the best re-pack material and how much do you pack in?

Best regards

I destroyed my powercore 2 on my '08 and just got a stealth. I have not ridden with it yet, but I hope it's at least as quiet as my stocker. Holy cow that stocker is quiet, and it fits on so nicely.
Will report when I can, but probably won't install it for a while.

Yes. There's an old thread around here somewhere with a pretty complete description of what I went through to fit the Stealth to my '05 MC 250.

Here it is. Pics, etc. It's hard to describe how to do it but it was pretty simple once I actually had the thing in my hands.

Default turbine II phenomena

on my EC 300 r 2009 the turbine II is quiet at start but when i open the throttle the noise gets very high and metalic like if a valve opens up that noise sometime stay when you slow down and idle for a few second and then shuts down again. the strange part is that the leaner the jetting the more noise the turbine II makes.any similar experiences?

I don't have first hand experience with the phenomenon but yours sounds like what others have described with a sticky or maladjusted power valve. It's not mechanically feasible for the silencer to induce sudden sound fluctuations.

You can run the bike with the right hand power valve cover off to see if it's operating smoothly. At rest he porkchop plate should rest against the stop screw with "slight" preload like in the second pic HERE. If you had top end off or yanked on the PV actuator rod it's also possible that the balls in the lower mechanism have been dislodged. There are numerous old threads dealing with how to adjust the "preload."

Here's a lengthy one that about covers it...
