So its been a while since the last up, and for good reason. Jake and Mrs Jake went for a drive Saturday morning, and by 11am that day we had a healthy Miss Jake Jnr welcomed into the world. Happy bub, happy little broski, happy and healthy mum, and of course a proud Dad.

All home again Sunday morning, and settled well.. Shed time has been able to resume

Coolant and trans fluids added. Pipe and silenced mounted up. About to slide in the NECW#2 and see if she'll fire up! (When the baby wakes up - so she can have her first taste of 2 stroke!!).

Well mum said bub wasn't phased by the bike, so I see that as a positive.

Bike started up first kick. Ran good. Questioning the NECW#2, as it has moved from a torquey mid to more of a lean and snap. With AS at 1.5 turns still had the blubber, but at 2 turns felt hesitation when snapping the throttle, so 42 pilot and W needle is on the money. I may end up a half a clip richer again, but I'd like to get some ride time on this setup to evaluate properly.

The shock felt superb. Sits up in the stroke nicely, isn't very harsh, isn't too mushy, and jamming it into my 20cm square edged root provided a nice little pop instead of a thud/kick. Trail time will tell more, but I'm diggin the latest revalve and the heavier spring/less preload.

Forks and head stem can wait one! Still need to be done, but not sure if I want to open the float .1mm right now, or have a ride and evaluate the shock alone. Decisions decisions..

Other than that, happy times for everyone.
