Default dirt question

bike went over backwards, plugged up exhaust, took off pipe and muffler, little bit oy sand where pipe meets muffler, but muffler had at least 5 cups of dirt in it, not counting the big azz chunk plugging it!
im pretty sure i cleaned it all out, but is there more i can do?, i just shook the crap out of them till no more dirt came out.
would it be bad to run water through it? or will the exhaust clear out any residual dust? i want to make sure its safe before i start it again!!

You could run water through them will not cause problems just make sure all the water is out the pipe before re-assembling. This is probably worth doing in case any sand is stuck to oil inside the pipe. Anything inside the pipe can get back inside the cylinder so it's worth checking.

The dirt that is still in your silencer will work it's way out on your next ride as long as it is not gummy mud.
