Frame Welding
I am hoping to get some input quick on this hence the double post. My footpeg pivot holes are way out of round letting them sag alot. MY plan is to get some flat bar stock and make some thick "washers" to weld to the frame. Are there any issues with welding on the 07 Gas Gas frame. The guy doing the welding want's to know what the frame is made of, chrome moly right?

Paul, No issues I am aware of, and yes chromoly. I have had some welding done on 2 of the 3 Gas Gas bikes I have owned. My current 300 I had 1 of the 2 mounting tabs welded back on that hold the coil in place.

You could grind the foot peg brackes off and weld the foot peg brackets from an aluminum framed Honda CR.
